Altius United Cricket Club is based in South Africa. The club was formed in 1976. The club had played their first match in 1978/79 in the league matches and won first trophy in the captaincy of Armien Jabaar. The club won the trophies in 1981, 1921, 1985/86. They also won the prestigious double league and limited over tournament in 1989/1990. The first captain of the club was Late. Mr. Taliep Behardien who represented South Africa against Kenya in 1950’s.

The club has produced so many Western Province players for South Africa such as
Armien Jubaar
Seraj Gabriels
Munsoor Abdullah
Faiek Davids
Ismail Behardien etc.

The Club also provides talented coaches engaged by the club which included Rasheed Lewis, Braima Isaacs, Barney Mohammed, Seraj Gabriels, Anwell Newman and Ismail Behardien.

The club is affiliated under Western Province Cricket Association (WPCA) and currently playing in 1A division of WPCA, the highest level in South Africa amateur cricket. Currently the club has 5 senior teams playing in various division on WPCA. First team and second team play in 2 day competition as well as limited over tournament. First team also plays in AMA20 competition. Third team plays in both 2day and 1 day competition. Lower team plays in division 3 matches.

The club also promotes the budding Cricketers which has been proved by having various levels of junior cricket team such as Under 10, under 11, under 13, under 15, under 19 who play in various grounds around the cape and compete in School and College tournament.

Apart from this the club also is enthusiastic to promote Cricket to the children of age 4 and providing the exposure to know more about the game. The club also welcomes various Cricket lovers and cricket players to join the club and develop career in cricket.
